Of course it was sarcasm. That and the fact I thanked you - look at the end of your post. (That, just then, that was sarcasm. So's this. So I'm stopping.)

No what you said was genuinely helpful, and I tried to say thanks. (What I said, could have come over 'sarccy', so I'll come up with another way of saying thanks online. Hey - thanks for that, too. You're a really helpful person... (Sarcasm creeping in again?))

    Well, it works for me

Don't really have a problem with it, although it is less stable under Vista on my current laptop than on XP on my old one.

Hahah, Just got the XDA Orbit 2 yesterday. It's an absolute beast!
If any of you want a funky, slim, light PDA phone, that has Iphone qualities, whilst being functional - this is recommended, it's great to see touch flow working so well!
    (and it's a sexy handset!)

For reference, I now have the Vario 3, and it's at least as good as any of you have said. Thank you for all of the help/advice you've offered. I just got an 8gb mcSD card, and jammed it with 2nz, so I'm very happy. (Now, where'd I put my bluetooth headphones?)

Re: Just got my MDA VARIO III (HTC KAISER)

It's called an XDA Stellar on o2, and they can do unlimited tinterweb - you're looking at 18 months at £35-£45 though.

If you're already on o2, you've got an easy job. Call them up ask for their best deal. Turn it down and ask to be put through to disconnections.

Disconnections (otherwise known as customer retention) will then much improve said deal.

True Example. My wife wanted an XDA Orbit 2 on o2.
They offered her 600 mins, 400 texts for £35 a month and wanted £50 for the phone.

    I got through to disconnections.
    We got:
1200 minutes 1000 texts unlimited internet £35 a month (and no £50 payment).

If not, call them and accept what they offer - Good luck!

Re: Just got my MDA VARIO III (HTC KAISER)

Then expect to pay more, or get less. The whole industry is geared toward 18 month contracts now mate - they're standard.

Compare what you get on FLEXT 35 (T-mob) for 12 and 18 months.

its not enough anymore baz man. the age of VGA is upon us and you need to embrace it.

buty seriously, they need to make an own branded 640x480 or better handset that isn't like a small house... there making one for Sony (which will obviously have a premium attached to it for that) so where's there's?

I must say I like the look of the Sony Winmob phone - all the Sony Fanbois are up in arms over it slatting something they haven't used!

Me? I love Winmob. It has issues yes, but nothing I can't look past upon feeling the benefits!

VGA what is this VGA of which you speak
Yeah, would be nice, but it's not an issue to me. I think PIE needs some SERIOUS work. Loving Opera at the moment!

Re: Just got my MDA VARIO III (HTC KAISER)

the thing with win phones is that if you dont like something about it you can change it. like that finger friendly frontend that you had on your proggie of the week one time. im following the progression of that very carefully because it could end up really good.

True I believe it's the opposite of Apple/Iphone and for once, is on the right side, if I buy something it's mine to do with as I wish, and Microsoft turning a blind eye as they seem to do, is a great thing!

Not really, my friend. There's not much you'd need any extra res for on a device this size. qvga (as I think it's called) is very nice and "sharp" imho.

There's the HTC Universal - or the XDA Exec (if you went for an "all black" style like mine).

    But yeah, small house.

There's one phone atm - and possibly others - that has a 800x480 screen. Yummy. Watching 24 on that wouldn't be too bad. I don't think it's a "house" either...

QFT. Put another way: You never go back to a "standard" phone, once you've been PPCified. "Ludicrous", PPC my phone!
