What 360bhp is trying to say is that there is only 1 arabic version of the Quran. A Quran in its original arabic form bought it England, is no different to one bought in India or Indonesia, nor is it different to 1000 year old scripts of the Quran.

The translations can obviously differ to some extent, as it depends on who is doing the translating.

Yep and there are serious questions over how that has been translated over the years. The most famous being the 72 virgins or 72 white raisins. I think the OP got the desired result, a raise out of a forum they have no intent on reposting/responding in. The reactions are typical. One thing is for sure, people in Britain (and probably the western world in general) still cannot air views without someone pointing the racist finger much in the same way that Donald Sutherland did at the end of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Islam is a religion, it is not confined to race therefore anyone who plays the racist card can automatically be disregarded.

thats my point, the copy of the Quran that you own is undoubtly a book of opinions, as the original text can not be proven..or correctly translated or understood.

and the same is true of the bible, new and old testaments.
