Be have been pretty good ... There are a few issues to be aware of.
One is the modem stops at "contacting DHCP server" for ages before it actually gets an IP address and allows you online. Happens occasionally and sometimes the wait is a few minutes, sometimes a couple of hours. Has happened twice to me so far. Apparently people on fixed IP are not vulnerable to this as there is no need to contact the DHCP server.
The 2nd is that on browsing, you keep getting timeouts etc, resolved by refreshing the page. It is annoying to say the least when you are browsing at it begins happening at every other page. Has happened to me only once. This seems to be because of one of Be's DNS servers (IP ending 51) does not seem to respond in a timely manner. Workaround seems to be edit out that server from the DNS server list on the modem (instructions on be forum - or I can link them) or use third part y DNS servers. If you have a server at home, maybe you can run a DNS server on it. Or change your individual machines so that they send their DNS requests to a different server.
Be doesnt seem to what is causing either of these problems for definite - but they are apparently looking into.
The 2nd problem is not really an issue for me. The 1st one is - I would like a dynamic IP, but Be works on sticky IP. I have had the same IP since the day I got online with Be. So seriously considering switching to fixed.
