As above ...
I thought it was £24 and then was pleasantly surprised to find it had turned into £55.

Just moved to be there, its active but my welcome pack has not arrived. managed to get it working on the netgear i have, but obviously it doesnt support Annex M
Is it only the speedtouch routers that do support it?
Im on the Be Pro package
Currently sync at 11mb down and 1mb up, but getting from the speedtest 9mb down and 900 up....
cheers, i thought it was only me then.
Same here, I used the dmt tool to increase my snr I think and the max I could sync at was 13143kbps, on the unlimited package. I asked then to be put back to value and now my speed has stuck which is excellent for £14
your stats arent that bad actually, your downstream noise margin is going to stop you pushing for any more speed without losing stability however.

Maddock which router are you using?
I have left the filter in the test socket and added the house phone to the equation and the SNR has dropped to 2db....
Also another thing ive noticed, the wire that goes straight into the BT box is some flimsy phone cable like the one that goes to the router and not a solid white one you would usually see.
Do I need to bug BT for wiring it correctly?
Thanks
I had Be lower my Up and downstream SNR profiles the other day. Went from 17/1900 to 23/2.5 and seems stable.
its a DG834N. using the test socket (which cuts out all the other wiring in your house) always increases your snr/speed to some extent. i gain probably 500kb and thats with no wiring other than the socket which has the test in it in the house.
the "flimsy" cable will be running off to an extension yes? this could very well be why you connection goes to pot when using the normal socket. a low quality cable will introduce more noise to the connection.
Guide to rewiring internal UK phone wiring
have a read through that, has some ideas and guides that will help, removing ring wire and changing the faceplate/whole box spring to mind... remember for some of it - illegal dont do it (put back before asking bt to come round anytime/if you move) etc bla bla bla
i have no idea if BT can do anything about your existing wiring to be honest as iv never needed to do anything like that, best to call them, they can only say no (or yes that will be £150 )

does anyone here have any experience on hosting a web server using be pro? would it be suitable?
2.5mb? hmm for 50p more you could have a server at Servage
Unless you can leave your pc on all the time :0
i just got my invoice email saying that i am still paying the full wack £28 for the standard unlimited package with one static ip!!! shouldnt this be on £18? diddnt they announce that all prices have dropped?
when did you sign up? i heard that only new signups get that £18 price. drop the static ip too, my ip's been the same ever since i connected, i've had many reboots and resyncs and it doesn't wanna go. could save yourself £48 a year there. if it does change alot just use the dyndns service.
