Wow, some awesome photos in this thread, haven't seen it before

Feel daft posting this, I know nothing about photography, and it's just a generic sony camera, but I like it.

Looks like you had better light than I did at London zoo on Sunday! I will post up a couple from the trip as they were the last with my 300d. I now have a 40d. Yay!

I don't actually know how I managed to save the one of the Heron, cos it was taken at 4.30, just as the sun was setting, but it appears to have turned out well, so i'm happy

    Re: Photo-a-day

Some photos I took on Boxing Day of the statues at Crosby beach.....Most of them looked really interesting all covered in barnacles!

It was also the first time I had been out and used my new "Nifty Fifty" that I got for Christmas!

I thought I would post these as well - this was my first go of using my new Kenko Extension Tubes....
Quite pleased with the outcome considering it was my first play with them!

I love the second shot, but it just needs a bit more depth of field to bring it all in focus.

Thanks - I've got some more shots from the weekend to go up when I've sorted through them.

Here are a couple of photos of The Wheel of Manchester taken while I was out and about today....
