At Birmingham today after arriving back from the Algarve, I was struck by the contrast between the pristine livery of the plane and the angry sky. Unfortunately I was shooting through a window, hence the reflection. Ho hum.

First impressions on a work screen look good - need to get home to my proper monitor to be more critical, which means that even if there are improvements to be made they're too minor to be noticeable in normal cases.

Out of interest g8ina what camera are you using and more importantly what lens??

I have an old manual focus 105MM/F4 Micro-Nikkor with a mount converter I need to try one of these days. It is sharp but the viewfinder on my A200 is not that great TBH!!

Thanks kal, there is a LOT of PP on that one, if I hadn't done something serious you would hardly have noticed the hopper

All my new macros are with the Tamron 90mm SP on my Nikon D200.

That f4 should be great for macro ! I use manual focus about 50% of the time, no great hardship

Nice shot!

PP looks okay but did you use dodge/burn - I think I detect a darker halo around the hopper - especially the head?
