Why can't I browse or drop in jpeg's image ?
Do I have to use a third party ie flicker/picasa?
Thanks
What could possible go wrong?
It would quickly get unwieldy if your computer had to serve images to everyone who looked at one of your pictures on the internet, so instead images are held on third party servers that offer them for download instead.
Hexus could implement an image server, (and they did experiment with one for a while), but then they'd have additional bandwidth costs and moderation duties etc. So the easiest solution is to use existing third-party sites that already provide that service like the ones you mention, or imageshack, imagebucket etc.

Bigizzman :
grab the page url - in your case : http : // img696.imageshack.us/img696/6849/dsc0995n.th.jpg
Then in a new post, do you see the little yellow square with a mountain in it, over the text input box ?
Click on that, then paste the image url.
Here is your image :
edit - you may want to select a slightly larger shot, I use 1024 pixels wide.
Through a window, on an iPhone in HDR*, i'm quite impressed with the quality of the shots especially compared to my HTC Desire

Hmmmm, I think FB is being silly, so - can you click thru to these then :

Cheers
Allegedly HDR but I never bothered looking into whether the iPhone really does it or just messes with exposure
I think the iPhone takes one photo, adjusts the exposure to three different levels, then blends them together.
