Excellent news What ppd do you get from your CPU client (if it folds)?

It does indeed fold; it gets around 5-6k ppd @ 3.3GHz. Don't actually know if that's what I should be expecting, I'll go and look it up somewhere later tonight.

my Q6600 gets 4.5-5k ppd, so with the i5 being more efficient your ppd seems about right.

What kind of units? What client?
ATI cards require much more CPU time than nvidia cards but still that's a bit low.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Most 2M WUs top out at 4.5k.

6701 is probably the worst WU I've had with a massive 2k PPD.

EDIT: Oh, that was only one of the runs, the other 3 times I've had it it's been getting ~4.3K

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

    Yup, 6.30.

I want to OC my CPU although I need to buy a decent heatsink, my room can get quite warm and noisy at night. Not sure on good heatsinks for AM3 though. Most reviews seem to focus on 1156/1366 sockets.

    Ideas?

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

For me, nothing will ever beat the xigmatek HDT-S1283 for AM3 as the heat is never a worry at stock or OC'd and it's like £15. Great, great cooler. I changed the stock fan for a scythe gentle typhoon though.

Going to leave it running as is for now, and have a look around at the weekend. I've got to do some re-plumbing etc so going to make the most of the down time (if I ever get any) to weasel out the problem. So until then, its SLI GTX 480's running at 2/3rds capacity due to a problem with the driver!

    Yay!

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Where are the bloody .txt files located for the GPU3 client, i can't find them anywhere and so hahmon won't add the client ?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
