    Fatality FP-IN9 SLI

I am trying to get a VIA VT6421A PCI SATA card installed on my system, when I insert the PCI card into the motherboard and pwer on the PC Windows XP (SP2) doesn't detect anything, when you search for hardware it finds nothing, its like the PCI slots dont work, does anyone know or have any idea why this is or a way of solving this problem please ?

    Thanks

How do you monitor the NB temp on this board?

The only way is to install your own temp meter or feeling the heatsink and guess.

I haven't tried them yet, but if they don't work can the board be RMA'd? As I'm looking to get a TV Card within the next couple of weeks and I'll rather annoyed if I can use it.

There seems to be that many bugs and faults on this motherboard that you shold be allowed to return the board as its being sold and its "not fit for purpose", by law they must replace it, tho that is alot of hassle if ABIT could just release some real quick fixes for the more serious faults.

    Hi guys!
I'm only running this board with a single graphic's card. Yet my card is only running in PCI-E x8.Shouldn't the card be running in PCI-E x16? If so is there anyway I can change the bus speed?
The card I'm using is an XFX 7800 GTX.

    Cheers!

Ok. So I'm trying the 13 beta. At the moment I'm checking ORTHOS small @ 375MHz (1.20V VTT / 1.24V NB) and it looks like stable or it should be @ 1.28V NB. No matter what volts I can't go over 380MHz FSB. CPU is E4300 6multi. I think it is a bios issue still, but can't be sure...

I've got my e6400 to 2998MHz, I think it's stable, Orthos has been running for over 2 hours now and it seems fine.

What's the best other people have been able to do with the e6400 and this board?

Can a few people please try installing some PCI cards on this motherboard and help me confirm that the slots DONT work as information seems to be hard to obtain on this subject, ABIT are refusing to answer my emails.

    Thanks

There are no current issues raised concerning PCI slots on FP-IN9 SLI. I can look into the problem for you.

Also what email address did you send your request to. As I have no record of your email?

OK I will ask abit HQ for an update to see if there are any outstanding issues with the PCI slots.

when I plug my VIA VT6421A SATA PCI card into any of the PCI slots and boot into Windows I get nothing, Windows XP (SP2) and my new Windows Vista just dont detect any new hardware, if your telling me there is no outstanding issue with the PCI slots then my board must be faulty and I'll have to rip it out and take it back to the store.

I emailed from the website, think it was abit.care@ or something like that, I've had a few auto responses saying "Thanks you for your email" blah blah, but no help with my actual problem.

Forgot to add, I am currently running the board with BIOS revision 12, I have also tried the BETA BIOS, but no joy at all, so put the official BIOS revision 12 back on.
