I have sent an email to abit hq asking if there are any known issues with the motherboard and your VIA sata card. Should get a response tomorrow.
The UK technical email is technical@abitcomputer.co.uk. You should recieve a response within 24 hours.

Have you tried both the PCI slot?
Yep, I've tried both of the PCI slots.
I'll wait and see what response comes back from ABIT and if its not favourable then I'll have to rip this board out and return it and get a different board.
Thanks for your help Sean, it is appreciated, this is driving me mad!
No news on a official version of bios 13 yet. I think it might be released at the end of the week.
Hi all, my pc is running great for last 4 days now, im just curious if anyone knows the settings for Motherboard Monitor (mbm). So i can monitor my fan and cpu temps without having to go to the bios each time.
tried abit EQ, Speedfan, Everest etc.?
MBM's developer abandoned it a few years ago.
uGuru v3.1.0.3 is the version you should use to check this motherboad, it works with Vista too.
ok guys, new problem! lol
i just got my nice shiney new Corsair PC6400 sli epp spd and all that good stuff, in the mail today, and of course it went straight from the box to the system. now, the problem.
it won't run in dual channel mode. right now, it's only reaing 1gb when it should be reading 2. they're both sitting in the black channel, cuz i couldn't get the red channel to work.
now i've been reading on the official abit forums, and apparently these boards have a problem with sli memory. is this problem being fixed, has it even been addressed, or what?
or better yet, does anyone know of a SOLUTION?
1. check the RAM voltage set against that recommended by Corsair (2.1V iirc)
2. 650i isn't meant to support EPP http://www.nvidia.com/page/nforce_600i_tech_specs.html
It doesn't really matter as you can get better performance manually.
I've completely had it with this motherbaord !!
Its going back to the store in the morning, its "not fit for purpose" I bought it !!
I have the latest BETA BIOS (B03) dated 10th May 2007 if anyone wants it, I've completely given up with this board now before I lose the will to live !!
i'm sure ABIT Sean will try and defend the honour of ABIT! but ABIT can suck on my nuts and cock! i'm not ever touching anything they produce EVER again! and i've always had ABIT boards, but this **** has finished me off! i hate them!
I completely understand, if you are unhappy with the product you have every right to return it.
But I wouldn't let this one product put you off abit motherboards. We have some really good boards on the market at the moment which are getting good reviews.
I was looking to resolve the same issue and found this thread after not getting a response from ABit.
Looks like I'm taking my board back too.
I'm hacked off with ABIT too, i wont be recomending or put Abit board in the systems I build for a while either.
Note to ABit - You need to try better with customer support
What email address are you using? abit UK has one of the fastest response times for emails.
