imo 650i isn't a great chipset - you'll also find various complaints about pretty much every other 650i mobo if you look.
Unless you need SLI or loads of IDE devices I honestly feel that 965 is a better chipset. I've had an Asus P5N-E SLI since Dec. & it has plenty of flaws too.

As for the FP-IN9 SLI most people seem to find that it's perfectly solid at stock but doesn't currently overclock past the mid 400s (I personally suspect that it's the BIOS not allowing 1.6VMCH which other 650is seem to need for high fsb).

I am VERY happy so far with my QuadGT which I installed a couple of weeks ago to replace a dissapointing ASUS Commando.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Thanks BUFF. Since it comes from you than it is fair and honest. I noticed what you say about 650i as well, thanks. Surfed thorugh other 650i formus and it does seem they all have problems, BIOS is mentioned too often - but on all boards and by different manuf???

Well, I really(!) wanted to try once an nVidia (but not the most expensive) chipset and CPU, since I only had Intel until now and throughout time there were good reviews about the nVidias. And now with C2D I said - well, at least the chipset. No mate, with these reports about all 650i's...

Well, I'll have to decide by Tuesday whether to go for a GigaP35-DS4 or a Giga965P-DS4, or [edit:]jonesy's idea Anus965P5B-E+, or AbitAB9 mobo. BUFF with your "resident abit fanboy" I shouldn't guess which one would you recommend, should I?

M8s, if you think I am wrong and FP-IN9 is a really good board give me your feed(but not->)back.

P.S. Buff you guessed right - it'll be my all-in-one new config and I do not need SLI, I will have only one IDE (DVDRW), however, I do intend to OC, although not too much, an E4300 to 2,6 or max 2,8Ghz. So it does seem that FP-IN9 might be out of my list - very sad. Yet again, if you guys think that this board will shine as of BIOS 13 give some food for thought.

if you can afford £100 then I strongly recommend the AB9 QuadGT as did EtheAv8r below me.

Might be worth looking at P35 mobos too as they are now starting to turn up - abit's P35 Pro is due out mid June ~£95.

My QuadGT is running rock solid at 3.55GHz - the ASUS Commando, all other components the same - except the cooler - struggled to be stable over 3.1Ghz... and the QuadGT is a fair bit cheaper, and the support from abit is in a completely different league. I will never again buy ASUS. abit Rocks!

They all charge on my Dell 8600 or Toshiba A10 or Compaq nw8240 or my 2 year old gigabyte MB in my MediaCentre.

    But not on this Board.

Any other takers can test this???

Are the PCI-E x16 or x8? It seems to be different on each website.

    Ok thanks.

Also do you know whether I can connect my front USB and Firewire ports on my case to this motherboard?

It's just that it doesn't have a rear Firewire on this mb.

it doesn't have onboard firewire, you would have to use a PCI firewire card.
