    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Starting to get the hang of it now, and getting enough kills to break even with the shocking amount of deaths I seem to suffer. I am glad to report the usage of the M60 has dwindled, only to be replaced by a nade-launcher. That only seems to kill me, even at point blank range. Go figure eh. Currently playing between medic and soldier classes Unlocked a few cool guns, nothing amazing like. I look forward to unlocking the M60 so I can exact revenge on a couple of my fragmates, who are laudering it over me.

Stick with it mate, focus on unlocking the XR8. Which should be the first unlock for you. Then things will SLOWLY start to improve. But, in general I agree. DICE hasn't made it easy on themselves.

Oh got you, didn't know you was within context of the Medic class. I think it would be a bit overpowered if it could both heal and revive, and then bring down vehicles - makes a bit more of a team game if each class has their own specific strengths you need teammates for.

Although we all know that never happens online

The game isn't that bad chaps! I really love it so far, everything included. The only thing thats a bit disappointing that there's not many levels I particularly love... thats more of a preference issue I guess.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Still really enjoying this on PC and playing as much as i can (not allot at the moment, going to make up for it this weekend) Agree with the way unlocks are made through pure amount of time being able to play, not a great fan of that. But im a level 10 medic now and enjoying the class overall and also have a engineer on the way.

In regards to those unhappy with seemingly dying all the time and not being able to run around and own everything one on one killlstreak style like other fps games, I would say to try to focus more on the team play factor especially while levelling up. Team playing as engineer repairing/medic healing etc while getting the odd kill here and there i find more enjoyable and rewarding score wise than trying to be the no1 with kill/death ratios each game. Its never a surprise when your side loses when you witness the amount of team-mates randomly running around looking out for no1 than contributing as a team to the objectives in hand.

Just got the game myself - quite enjoying it to be honest. Not tried online multiplayer though. Not exactly looking forward to the idea given it sounds like the servers are full of uber-super-elite killing machines.

Is there any way or means us mere mortals could enjoy a game?

I hope they stop smoking whatever the hell they were smoking and split up the medic and support class hybrid that they have at the minute.

It really is dire, the amount of people running around with M60's spraying everything that so much as quivers in the wind.

They also need a limit on the snipers per team. That's partly because it is annoying as hell when 7 or 8 people are sitting on a mountain side killing everything that exposes a toe, and partly because it is desperate trying to assault places when half your team is sniping away on the other side of the earth.

Haha, I actually laughed out loud because that's true. Needs some TF2 style balancing.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

How does this compare to BF2, for anyone who was a fan of that?

I played the beta a few times and wasn't impressed tbh, graphics looked a bit cartoon-esque and the weaponry didn't sound as realistic, the recoil seemed quite unrealistic too.....

Guys, come play hardcore mode. At the most you can take a couple of bullets, it's a great leveler even for those of you playing with the default weapons. It's still difficult at first, but nowhere near as bad.

Do a search in the browser for iGi Multiplay and have some fun.

i realized a terrible flaw on your server, well maybe all servers that are empty. you could simply join an empty server and play by yourself and get loads of points for destroying the crates in rush mode and winning the round.

i tried it once for fun on your server and got nearly 2000 points in one round playing on my own. only took me 10mins to do it

Me and my mate were doing this but TBH i think you get around 2000, if not more, in a normal game anyway and its a lot more fun I just wish there was some way to practice flying the choppers as im teh suxx0r in them

Not if your squad has a decent medic. It's pretty much all I do. I often have a KDR of around 0.2 (seriously!) but will be top of the board purely based on the amount of shock paddling and med kits I'll put about the place.
