    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Not if your squad has a decent medic. It's pretty much all I do. I often have a KDR of around 0.2 (seriously!) but will be top of the board purely based on the amount of shock paddling and med kits I'll put about the place.
Squad play is essential on HC servers completely agree. Although removing the spotting system is a step backwards IMO. I would prefer if the spot could be squad specific or something

Played a medic today, got over 5000 points vs the next top people who were around the 2000 mark and under - just plop some medkits between a bunch of defenders and come back every once in a while to keep medpacks to wherever they move... revive people when they're easy enough to get to and the LMG is a superb gun in bursts so you can defend yourself pretty well too.

What do you mean removing the spotting system?? I use it all the time throughout the match, it's incredible especially if you have some people on your team looking in that general direction. I was on the last part of defending Arica Harbor (not much teamplay was going on before this, so we lost the other points pretty badly) and a team of snipers were in the bombsites as I was on a warehouse rooftop on the far left of them... I spotted all the attackers coming and the snipers would take em down almost immediately our team managed to get our act together and teamwork 100% got us through the end of that. Incredible game!

Got 8,000 one round. But it is so easy to whore in this game, scores mean nothing.

In HardCore mode there is no spotting its removed from the game. Nor is there a radar, ammo count or crosshairs.

I got 18K at the end of one round, thats including awards though. Its very achievable to rack up towards 5000 points as a medic, depending who is in your squad.

Sounds like I got to try this mode

I got nearly 7000 last night, not including the awards lol - which gave me 14000 total exp from that one (albeit long) match. Just a large mix of healing, reviving, planting bombs, and killing a LOT of people. Kept switching to engineer and sniper when I needed to as well. UAV is pretty awesome with the machine gun attachment!

Sigh ever since the update ive had no end of problems with the server browser, can't even get it to pull up a list of games without telling me it can't connect to EA online.

Yeah same here since yesterday morning, I can log in fine to my account etc but when I come to search for a game no matter if its the main server browser or the favs menu with about 5 servers saved I get the can't connect to EA message over and over.

Always the same with DICE games though, it always takes weeks for it to get sorted before you can just play it when you want to. Saying that though it's giving me plenty of time to get through all the other games I have in the pile

On the console side, I have to say the most annoying thing BY FAR is the random disconnects. I know its widespread, but it really is so random...

I know this because me and my housemate squad up and play, and randomly one of us will always drop out once every while - never both of us. We have to rejoin the match via the squad which is still going in order to continue...

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

So I thought I would start levelling up other classes, and man I suck. I find it so hard to let go of my medic + M60 combo. Couldn’t get any kills, switched back and started killing as normal.

Only thing that comes close to the M60 is the XRM8 Prototype, but the clip size is much smaller than the M60 which isn’t a really problem, expect for the constant reloading!

However, I do want to level up the other classes, so I sense a lot of dying coming on...

We could do with organising a Hexus night - i still need to get everyone back on my friends list again but trudging through20 pages isn't appealing

I sent a friend request out to most the names I could find after the last patch, I guess it still isn't working to well?
