Have you taken down the server now? I had got quite advanced.

I had to replace a faulty socket on the same ring main as the server - since my UPS died a month or so ago I had to shut the server down and I forgot to restart it. It's back up now.

I'll log in when I get home and take a look around what you've built!

Can I just say that mobs wearing armour is nasty, I logged on at night so quickly hid in Duty's place as it's next to the spawn, dawn came so I went to punch some trees and got ganked by zombies, who thanks to their armour where immune to sun light and my fist, died 4 times and wasted most of the first day trying to kill them.

tis fun though.

But I've got a little island to the north east now, did some mineing, farming and built a dirt hovel to hide in while I land scape the island and try to figure out what to build . . .

I've set up an Unhinged server too, partly due to Allen's request, partly due to my preference for the 1.5.2 modpacks. PMs sent to those who've already expressed an interest, and if anyone else wants access, just let me know.

Unhinged is a tech based modpack with magical elements created to show off a vision of Minecraft where all the mods are balanced against each other to form a more challenging modpack. Take IC2, add hundreds of new machines and items, and times the complication by about 1000x... Then you have Gregtech. GregoriusT (the guy who wrote it) has a very sick a twisted sense of humour, but, it makes for a more challenging mod pack which takes months to get to "end game" rather than a few days.

Not that I think anyone on Hexus would be malicious, but accidents do happen, so is there any possibility you can turn mobGriefing off (/gamerule mobGriefing false) to avoid unintentional griefing of our structures?

Had a good first day on Bagnaj97's new Unhinged server, got a basic tree farm running and working on AE now to control it, as at the moment it's not fully automatic. Need bed now though...

Must say I'm loving tinkers construct, that's the smelter and tools, building a large multi-block object then smelting 32 ore blocks at once and pouring them out into blocks (not bars) is great, the hammer is amazing with its 3x3x1 mining area, I've not bothered with a quarry as I can strip mine without too much trouble.
and I've hardly scratched the surface yet . . .
It really creates a use for gold and gavel

I need to attack a slime island next, slime is a good tool material.
