Thanks for this Kalniel.....
Do you mean more like this? This is the original shot that I haven't done anything with. I must admit I'm pretty new to Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro etc and can only just about "get by".....also the colours on my laptop compared to my PC appear to be totally different.....!
well i dont use it for sports (its a wide angle) so the focusing speed isnt an issue for me, i find it locks on pretty much 90% of the time when im shooting - only time i got trouble was dark venues when shooting gigs (and if i throw my 580EX on and use it as a focus assist, i don't have any trouble)
sure its not silent, but i wouldn't say you'd notice it unless the camera was hunting for focus, or you were going from 4' to infinity focus..

P&S shot that I fiddled around with a few years ago. Not great by any standards but the missus loves it and looks quite funky in a frame.
the motor is higher pitched when hunting for focus, but quicker at finding focus

first outing of my shiny new Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 - Hubby's uncle's 50th
Is that Charles Kennedy rocking out? Great expression.
I've been going through all my old photos and having a play with some of them. The first couple of thousand photos from when I started were really terrible. I may not be on a professional level now but I've improved a huge amount since then.
People keep asking why I don't delete any of my photos. A lot of them are technically bad but remind me of events. Some of them seem unusable at the time but when I go back later and put the time in to actually look at them, they turn out to not be so bad.
