To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
I've done some colour tweaking, so it might not look right. It was a pretty dull photo to start with. Makes me wonder how many other photos could have been improved if I spent some time on them. The problem is that I don't know how to edit images beyond moving some sliders up and down. I like to know why I need to do certain things and when they're needed before I go diving into tutorials. Otherwise they just come across as "Here's how to change the piston rings on a Ferrari 250GTO".

#8 is quite good but by God you need a spirit level son.
#1 is ok but doesn't really tell me a story, it's just some guy getting collared.
The others I'm afraid are borderline voyeuristic and just feel like an invasion of privacy, if a photo makes me feel a little uncomfortable to view because my connection with the subject is entirely based on sympathy then for me I'd bin it. *1
Your technicalities are getting much better though, focus is pretty much bob on and your processing is less aggressive than it has been in the past. I just think you need to be working on why you're taking the shot, a lot of it smacks of 'spray-n-pray'.
*1 - Personal opinion, there are many like it but this one is mine.

Could have sworn we've said this before j.o.s.h.1408, but why not put these in their own thread, rather than posting so many photos at once in a photo-a-day thread? It gets a bit samey if one poster is posting so much of the same style at once.

I know they're new.. I'm suggesting that if you want to show off so many at once you might consider using a dedicated thread so they get the proper attention, rather than speeding through the photo-a-day thread (and causing other's posts to get bumped back a lot as well due to the volume.)
yamangman - beautiful. That composition just explodes out at me.
Some stuff for work. Messed up the Capsure though, weird reflection on the front.
Cheers guys. here's one from today.

Taken the other morning on a golf course, was out mushroom picking at about 6 in the morning, not a bad photo for an iPhone 4 IMO
