Yep I'm running a 6400 in it right now. I have got a new issue in that it suddenly doesn't like my Team Xtreme 5300 D9 ram. It was fine but now it won't detect it. The ram is good as I've tested it in my P5W-DH.

Yet another problem with this bloody board.....

Gilgamesh how likely do you think it is that these bootup/coldstart issues and POST crashing and stuff will be fixed via BIOS update? im starting to get a little concerned with this product!

I beleive so, the chipset ittself is not the problem the chipset is very stable and runs cool, it is the BIOS itsself and indeed the issues involved tpyically are the result of a immature BIOS.

There are some things about this board that was I going to put in the review of this board still even ifthese problems are fixed, however I believe the board is still a viable product, but abit just need to getthe BIOS right, this time.

would i be right in saying that the bios for this is the same as the one for the early 680 boards and thats why we are having so many problems the bios date is novemeber time and that would put its creation in around the time of the 680 boards and there problems

Well that's a weird one...you just popped in the WinXP CD and no "F6" during initial screen? And it recognized the array? I tried several times and every time it would fail during the file copy process. Even tried my IN9 MAX drivers which got me all the way through to the desktop but failed on the first reboot...

    also - Gilgamesh -

will we be effected by the Rev 1/Rev 2 issue with the 680i and Quad Core ocing?

i think EVGA or ECS are infact recalling all rev1 boards to replace by rev 2 boards as it requires a solder mod to make work.

can you ask Abit what the situation is with the 650i whether this is going to be an issue (quad core ocing), if so will they plan on a recall of early boards or will they junk us for being early adopters?

i was as surprised as you ARE it also did the same on vista install as well

normally i make the raid configuration by f10 or whatever then killdisk the drives then install windows and f6 but i didnt need to this is the first time ever its happened although i did install over the windows vista installation to put win xp on
