BF3 is the next game that should push the BF series on. When we'll see that, and whether it will be any good, who knows.

For me, the latest patch his improved the game, and made it more enjoyable. I've not seen any more snipers than there were before. Yes, I get killed more easily (it seems), but I can kill more easily too. This means that it is easier to reach the goal of the game, rather than just playing it as a glorified death-match (unless TDM is what you are playing of course).

And has been mentioned, smoke is a great tool for providing cover, and very underutilised.
The thing is mate BF3 wont be a proper BF game imho because you and i know for a fact it will also be in development for consoles and their is no way they are going to make the pc version have 60+ player count and huge open sandbox maps while the console version will be a cut down version of it.

Lets face it, consoles cant even do 32 players in its current state in this engine so thinking it can do 60+ on a map twice the size is asking too much for a 5 year old console.

If BF3 was a PC exclusive then all our wishes could come true but we all know for a fact the chances of DICE making a BF pc exclusive game is around the same chance that england has of winning the euro 2012.

    Its still a chance!!! Right?

On a side note - Im getting terrible knife registration, having to either knife 4-5 times or pull out my pistol and mow them down. Really annoying me since i've only been playing 2 days.

After a few more hours playing it seems to be on and off. Some times it will work perfectly and sometimes its as if im patting him on the back :/ I'd say 50% of the time it works.

Also getting some silly bullet registration with snipers, but thats only occasionally. And i found a bug last night on heavy MG's that i've reported.

For the short period I played post-patch the knife is has gone from one extreme to the other. Walking along I accidentally hit my knife bind, and I warped around 3 feet to my right and magically stabbed someone through a plastic sheet fence thingy. I had no idea that person was there.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

The knife works much better for me since I moved it from the MMB to side button
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Thought I would jump back in tonight. Glad to see the rubber banding & lagging issue is now all but fixed. However the hitboxes are still lol worthy. Once you learn how to exploit them there is no stopping you. I have no problem in make the game more noob friendly. But sometimes DiCE forget that some people already have very good aim. And once you increase the hitboxes, the scales tip in my favour. One round I was up front, and defence, and just slaughtering as they came though. I ended up with something like 20/1 without even trying.

    Not using the AN94??

The game is good again now I'm used to the changes. The new maps are live I found. I played atacama Rush last night and it seems good and it is great to have a new rush map.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Gameplay - Hit box for moving targets expands based on the speed of the targets movement
    See here: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/b...er-r12-qa.html

    Hitboxes
The hitboxes now expand as players move faster, which effectively corrects the hitbox issues seen before now. Shooting a running player's moving avatar seems to result in hits. The seemingly poor hit detection on a per-bullet basis (comparing automatic weapons to semi-automatic weapons) seems to be working properly as well.

While the hitbox change has received some criticism from the community because it appears to simply be a workaround to any possibly poor netcoding rather than properly fixing the hitboxes, this hit detection remedy has been used in both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 which both have fairly good hit detection.

The best I get is being called 'suspicious'.
AS a noob I felt the game feels completely different. That is....rubbish. PBbans are approx one very two mins, and the whole world appears to be 13.

So what is the exploitation of hit boxes ? Being bigger means they are the same for everyone ?
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.
