The engineer was getting 80Mb/s on his testing device, I'm happy with this though, so much better.

If it's only just been installed, it might improve over a week or so.

Depending on where you are and what exchange you're on you may be suffering from contention - my speeds fluctate between 42 and 16 depending on time of day I'll have to run a new test now I'm permanently on 80/20 - I'm still only getting around 40/10, but it was cheaper than my previous package anyway with twice the allowance, so whatever

    ping 59ms
    down 5778
    up 671
    sky broadband
connection 6457 - but it was 7225 last week before my power cut!
at least with BT it would go back up . . .
    down margin 7.7
    up margin 11

Looks that way, just ran another test and got 46Mb/s, not that it's an issue, 34>4.

Any suggestions on what to do now it's faster? I mean, apart from watching everything on iPlayer at once whilst downloading wikipedia?

For my own reference New house/wireless channel. 6:10pm Tuesday

Very happy with that (ping/quality far more important to me than bandwidth, and this way I get the cheapest package too). Who says wireless adds to ping?
