Also, how do i know what Apperture settings you guys used in the pics in this thread? i heard their is a firefox plugin for it?

Shoot Raw if you are going to enlarge your pics and foe better quality, if not stick to Jpeg to save card space. If space is not an issue stick to Raw. Happy shooting.

Generally, RAW files give you more flexibility with exposure - you can alter the exposure etc in post processing without affecting IQ as much as you would if it was a JPEG.
Also, RAW files have a greater dynamic range than JPEG iirc? Not sure about this, but I know that it is possible to create a psuedo-HDR pic from a single RAW file. So if you're shooting a scene with lots of contrast that's hard to expose, switch to RAW, do your best to expose properly, and correct afterwards if needed.
As for the Firefox plugin, just search for something that allows you to see the EXIF data on photos

great shot VM bit of PS and that could look like a mystical realm
JPG = little recovery for underexposed shot, no recovery for overexposed shot (blown)
RAW = 2 stops+ recovery for overexposed

Is there going to be anymore showers tonight?
Good shot Bob.
Blastuk you should see mets tonight if you have a clear sky.
Fair amount of cloud here as well atm so not looking promising.
no meteors here... just sad times for me:
my chassis on my car decided it didnt want to be attacked to the boot floor anymore... a photo from yesturday from under the car... not interesting... but this is photo a day... no-1 said they all have to be spectacular shots
