666moe666, I sent my phone back as it was rebooting. It's a common fault on some batchs. I thought it was overheating, but it was't so much that as it was just borked.

Quick question: Is there an alarm that will still work when the phone is switched off? I had the facility on my last SE c905, and would rather not leave my Desire on all night just so the alarm wakes me in the morning...
I don't think you can do that with smartphones. as they properly shut off, feature phones don't.
If you want to save power over night, turn on airplane mode, you should get days or even weeks of battery life out of it in airplane mode and not using it for anything else.
Looks like the update is available now!
I have to wait until voda release it though
(Shouldn't take too long as voda leave it more or less untouched)
Actually I don't mind waiting a week or two to see if it can be rooted easily, because rooting is probably the only way we will get gingerbread in 6 months

Mines all updated OTA to 2.2. Went without a hitch, took about 15mins to do all in all. Everything all seems to be fine! :-)
Unlocked phones?
My voda is totally unlocked and unbranded but I believe voda still like to make their own s/w so I have to wait...
installing now... can't wait!
edit : Done! and.... OMGBBQIZSOFAST!

HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
I'm scared of messing around with my Desire, so I think I'll wait for T-mobile to push out the update for me.
Quadrant currently gives me 530.
