I used a vodaphone sim to try it - worked fine for me.

Battery life is directly proportional to how much new stuff you have to fiddle with. My desire's battery life is amazing when I'm not using it

I found manually upgrading mine to 2.2 after the crap voda update last night has significantly improved responsiveness, it did not however remove the voda 360 crap

I never turn off my phone but it's annoying nonetheless.

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Does anyone else keep theri Desire in their trouser pocket without a case?

I regularly find my Desire on random pages, screens or having done random things when I pull it out of my pocket and go to use it.

Yes, but no issues here - just make sure you have a pattern set for the lock page

I'll have to give that a go. Although i was put off by it being more complex to actually get to a usable screen, will need to show the girl friend how to do it as well.

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Vodafone fail with the latest update, they are pushing a ton of junk onto their handsets now. I suggest you all create a goldcard and flash a generic ROM. Very easy, and not risky at all.

You mean from the slide down bit? No. You can remove the lock pattern if you want.
