    Launcher pro
    Custom wallpaper/dock icons
Extended controls (well worth 65p) (I've now got the toggles a bit smaller/less obvious on a 1x2 grid)
    Tajm (clock)

Alternate dock images for use with launcher pro - here
What made you change your mind?

Nice layout mate... Now there's no point in using a sense rom

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Just decided to give launcher one last try. Gone back to icons for the dock, thewords look nice but aren't as functionalin daily usage.
I'm annoyed that the brightness widget options in EC are poor compared to dazzle, I want thepop-up option but don't want to use two different widgets so I'm not sutensils what to do. Also I miss the small Sense digital clock, got a nice numeric one now but tapping it doesn't take you to alarms/etc which i did use a lot.

Check out Digital Clock Widget, tapping that takes you to the alarms and stuff.

Haha, I was using that one but only added via widget, didn't realise you needed to go into it via apps to set the click option, nice one

hmmm looking at some of these alternatives, I'm starting to think flashing to a stock HTC ROM and customising the heck out of it is the way to go

Two of the most popular custom ROMs, and as for what is good about them. They both have very extensive change logs - read them

The app has to support being moved to an SD card, most don't. Disappointingly, most of the Google apps don't either.

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Hi guys. i just notice how the twitter app no longer works on both stock 2.1 roms and all the cooked 2.2 roms such as LeeDroid and i think i know why.

i just got an email stating twitter will now use Oauth to authenticate your credentials so im guessing HTC apps dont use Oauth yet

Yeah, a lot of Twitter apps are failing to login in now. Blame the devs for this. Twitter has been planning the changes for ages now.

Re: The Official HTC Desire Thread

Yeah, I've read they announced this back in December apparently, so there really isn't an excuse for the likes of HTC not updating their software to handle the change.

Unless Oauth has issues meaning developers don't want to handle it and are refusing to ablige Twitter.
